In brief, we drove from our home in St. Louis City, Missouri to the Bay of Fundy just south of Monticton, New Brunswick with several vacation destination stops in between. The trip was 4,283 miles over 19 days, consuming 108 gallons of gas (39.6 actual mpg in our 1998 Mazda Protege with 119,500 miles on it).
I think we've finally learned not to try to do a half dozen destinations (that each recommend a week to experience) with a couple of days drive between them in a single, 2 and a half week vacation.
